It looked like they went overcut, but the commentator said the undercut window was open too. Why choose overcut?
Is it remaining tyre life? Competitor positions? First season watching, still learning a lot โ any veterans willing to explain?

Undercut vs overcut is one of the best strategy concepts to understand because it's intuitive once you get it. You're asking good questions.
ok I think I got it after reading this three times. The undercut uses a pit stop to gain track position. The overcut stays out and hopes fresher tires from a later stop are faster. Right?
