The button moved in this update and now the UX feels wrong
The button moved in this update and now everything feels off โ anyone else feel this?? Old layout had the reply button in the bottom-right. That position was already in muscle memory for me. New layout moved it to the left-centre. Now every time I go to reply I spend a beat searching for it. Multiply that by twenty interactions a day and it's a persistent friction point. Functionally fine. But UX changes to core interaction points need strong justification, especially when users have already established habits. Design note: if the button had to move, a transition period or tooltip would've helped. Anyone else adapting to this or is it just me?

New feature is LIVE!! Been waiting so long for this update!! Dev team, you're amazing!! The notification collapse feature is finally here. Before this update, opening the board was a wall of unread pings โ nothing was usable. Now with category-based collapsing, it's actually manageable. Search speed also feels genuinely faster โ used to be a 2-3 second wait, now it's basically instant. Neither of these is a headline feature but it's the everyday stuff that shapes the experience. Looking forward to what comes next!!

I joined when there were maybe 400 active users. Now there are thousands. The average post quality has gone down (more noise) but the absolute number of excellent posts has gone up. More people means more diversity of perspective. I miss the tight-knit feeling but I understand growth is how a platform survives.

Night shift workers have an inverted cortisol cycle. Standard AM/PM skincare advice (actives at night, protection during day) doesn't map to inverted sleep patterns. If your 'night' is at 9am: use your actives before your sleep period, SPF when you go outside regardless of time. Adjust to your biology.

Feature request: threaded replies would change how people use this forum
Currently replies are flat โ all at the same depth. In discussions with 50+ replies it's impossible to track which response addresses which argument. Reddit-style threading has UX costs but forums with complex technical discussions need it. Suggest implementing it for specific category types as a pilot.

A pitcher can go 7 shutout innings, leave with a 0-0 tie, and get a loss if the bullpen gives up a run. A pitcher can throw 5 mediocre innings, leave winning 5-2, and get a win even if his team won despite him. The win statistic describes bullpen performance and run support more than it describes pitching quality.

Three players from our league went to NPB this year and performed immediately. Chen Wei-Yin had a long MLB career. CPBL talent is real. The scouting pipeline just doesn't reach here the way it reaches Japan or Korea. I watch these games every week and I see MLB-caliber athletes playing in front of 8,000 people.

SIERA accounts for batted ball type in a way xFIP doesn't. One pitcher this month has an xFIP of 3.8 but SIERA of 3.1. The difference: he has a 52% groundball rate and his groundball-to-flyball ratio on hard contact is exceptional. xFIP treats all fly balls equally. SIERA doesn't. SIERA is right here.

The game is being simplified for casual fans who would rather watch home runs than appreciate a perfectly positioned 5-4-3 double play. I watch anyway. But it's different.

Submitted 3 reports this month. The report with the most detail (screen recording, reproduction steps, device info, OS version) was acknowledged in 6 hours. The two shorter reports took 3 days each. The effort invested in a good bug report directly correlates with response time. Worth spending 20 minutes to do it properly.

CPBL game was incredible last night โ local baseball just hits different. Respect for MLB, but it's not the same as being in the stands at Intercontinental Stadium cheering. That walk-off hit โ the whole crowd on their feet at the same moment. A camera can't capture what that feels like. You have to be there. Not knocking anyone who follows MLB โ just hoping people give CPBL more attention too. Taiwanese players work incredibly hard. Tickets are affordable, atmosphere is real. Main series next month at the home ground โ worth going.

CPBL season is starting and it feels like coming home
Every April I feel this. Taichung Intercontinental, the sound of the crowd, the flags, the drums. The MLB fans can have their billion-dollar stadiums. I have a stadium where I know half the people around me by name and we've cheered through rain delays together. That's what baseball means to me.

ERA 2.80 looks great. FIP is 3.90. He's been riding his defense all season โ what exactly is there to celebrate? FIP strips out fielder influence and measures only what the pitcher controls: K rate, BB rate, HR rate. A 1.1 ERA-FIP gap is significant. It means if you put an average outfield behind him this season, his ERA is probably 3.7-4.0. Traditional fans tracking ERA, I get it. But if we're evaluating contract value, roster decisions, playoff rotation spots โ FIP is the honest number. ERA is the narrative.
